Our summer list to keep cool and make the most of the long days…
Fragrant, refreshing and diverse: these herbs cool you from the inside
How about making homemade iced tea? Delicious, varied and refreshing… Here is our basic recipe for creating iced tea yourself. Before you start: make sure you have ice cubes.
1. Step
Pour one liter of boiling water over approx. 8 tablespoons of loose tea. For the tea, you can use rooibos, herbal or fruit tea, which steep for about 8 minutes. If you need a caffeine kick, you can use black or green tea and let it steep for about 5 minutes. Green tea should be infused with water at a maximum of 60 degrees. If you don’t have loose tea, you can use four to six biodegradable tea bags as a substitute.
2. Step
Let the tea cool off a bit
3. Step
Pour the warm tea into a jug filled with ice cubes.
4. Step
For sweetness, you can refine the tea with the delicious syrup from the summer kit or with sugar, honey, or some juice.
5. Step
Fresh mint, basil, peach wedges or a little lemon juice fit perfectly and provide a freshness kick and spicy taste!
Instead of just freezing water, add some lemon juice, fresh peppermint leaves or one berry per ice cube – it’s fun, looks great and your drink will taste even better
What’s nicer than relaxing outside in the park, in the forest, or on the meadow with friends and good food? And there might just be time for a game of Jass ;-).
Cocktails that brighten up glasses and thoughts taste better than ever in summer.
The Lillet Blanc, a French wine aperitif, is a fruity, refreshing classic. And cucumbers in a jar are not only available from Grandma, but also in our summer drink. Thanks to cucumbers’ ability to store cold, they are a particularly popular addition to cocktails.
Shopping List:Fill half of a large wine glass with ice cubes and add the cucumber slice, mint and the halved strawberry. Top up with 5 cl Lillet Blanc and 10 cl tonic water. Finished!
And finally, a summer classic:
