    Baked oats with apples

The days are getting longer and a sea of snowdrops is already decorating the meadows. That can only mean one thing; spring is just around the corner! But before we say hello, we would like to say goodbye to winter in the best AYA manner in the form of a delicious breakfast recipe.

Most of the time, saying goodbye is difficult, but if saying goodbye is bursting with healthy fiber and nutrients and tastes so outrageously delicious, then we’re happy to say “bye”. Our farewell is called “Baked Oats with Apples” and, no matter how modern the name may sound, our recipe originated in the 19th century, in the canton of Aargau.

Even then, the well-known doctor and nutritional reformer Maximilian Bircher knew how good oatmeal, apples and nuts are for our bodies. Oatmeal provides important fiber, biotin, magnesium, iron and zinc; apples provide us with important vitamins, potassium and sodium and the polyunsaturated fatty acids in nuts have a beneficial effect on our cardiovascular system.

As you can see, nothing has changed at the base of the reinterpreted Bircher muesli, but the resulting taste experience has. But it’s best to test it yourself while humming goodbye!
